Top performing PRO 6 cops awarded

Top performing policemen in Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 were awarded yesterday by Pol Chief Supt. Cesar Hawthorne Binag, PRO 6 Regional Director, during the flag raising ceremony at Camp Delgado, Iloilo City.

Medalya ng Kasanayan awardees were; Police Senior Superintendent Harold Tuzon, SPO4 Dexter Sevilla, PO3 Bryan Alejo, PO1 William Estopado and NUP Angela Mestido, all members of the Regional Police Community Relations Division, for their massive information operations on “Ligtas Paskuhan and Iwas Paputok” advocacies through posting of information on social media which resulted to the decrease of firecrackers-related incidents, decrease in the number of injured persons and zero recorded incidents on indiscriminate firing and stray bullets.

Same awards were given to the members of Regional Public Information Office 6 (RPIO6): Police Superintendent Gilbert Gorero, Regional Public Information Officer; and staff PO3 Sharon F. Balitor, PO2s John Steffegraft Alagos and Shella Gigabalen for receiving the certificate of recognition and plaque for Best Performing Information Office for the year 2017 given by the Public Information Agency (PIA), Western Visayas.

Meanwhile, Medalya ng Papuri or the PNP Commendation Medals were given to Police Senior Inspector Pedro Goldino Diocson, PO2s Rudy Fontenilla, John Manuel Artuz and PO1 Andrew Capapas of Roxas City Police Station for their successful conduct of buy bust operation which resulted to the arrest of Ryan de la Cruz and Justine Mendoza last October 29, 2017 at Malipayon Village, Brgy. Tiza, Roxas City, Capiz for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Also, same medalya was also given to Police Chief Inspector Valdem Joseph Ocampo for his exemplary performance as Regional Chaplain covering the period from October 23, 2017 to January 07, 2018. Through his high degree of professionalism and devotion to duty Father Ocampo contributed immensely to the men and women of PRO6 in the spiritual aspect.
