Himamaylan PNP Lauded For surrendered firearms, explosives
Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil, Jr., Negros Occidental Police Provincial Police Office (NOCPPO), Director lauded the Himamaylan City PNP for its intensified campaign against loose firearms in his locality.
The Himamaylan PNP under Police Chief Inspector Antonio Benitez, Jr. has collected several firearms, ammunitions and explosives during their house-to-house campaign in implementing “Oplan Katok, Oplan Boga”.
Surrendered to them were two rifle grenades; one rocket parachute flare; one signal ground amber star flare (rifle propelled); one plastic magazine of M16 rifle; 71 live cartridges of M16 rifle; 14 live cartridges of 30 caliber Garand rifle;
Three sulpak with two live cartridges of 12-gauge shotgun; one homemade cal. 45 pistol (serial number 294058) with four live cartridges and one magazine, one homemade cal. 38 revolver (without serial no.) with three live cartridges, one homemade magnum cal. 22 revolver (without serial number), one cal. 38 revolver (without serial number); and one magnum cal. 22 revolver (without serial number).
The surrendered loose firearms, explosives and ammunitions are now under the custody of Himamaylan Police Station.
