Ayala IT Zone to generate 4,500 jobs

Some 4, 500 employment opportunities will be generated by the IT Zone of the Ayala Mall Capitol Central according to Ayala Land representatives MR. Gerald Wong and Raejie Juance, who made a presentation during the hearing conducted by the Committee on Urban Planning Development of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, recently.

Councilor Caesar Distrito, Chairperson of the Committee said that the hearing was conducted since Ayala Land, Inc. requested for the favorable endorsement of the Sanggunian as one of the requirements for their PEZA accreditation application of their IT Zone.

During the hearing, Mr. Wong of Ayala Land, Inc. also presented to the Committee the perspective views of the Ayala Mall Capitol Central and showed the 2nd to 5th floors of the mall where the call center companies will be located that has a floor area of more or less 21, 000 square meters. Last year, the Sanggunian also approved Ayala’s request for endorsement of their proposed IT park, which is at the back of Seda Hotel, that will also generate 6, 000 job opportunities for the city and the province. *
