City team on responsible parenthood holds workshop
The Bacolod City Implementation Team (CIT) on the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health held a planning-workshop at the City Health Office (CHO) Activity Center recently.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia had issued Executive Order No. 39 on December 27, 2017 creating the CIT on the implementation of Republic Act No. 10354 or the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health (RPRH) Act of 2012.
This is pursuant to President Rodrigo Duterte’s Executive Order No. 12 to fully implement the RPRH Law.
Leonardia, overall chairperson of the CIT, has appointed City Health Officer Ma. Carmela Gensoli as CIT chair, City Population Office OIC Ernie Asoy as co-chair, and population program worker Mary Ann Alisbo as head of secretariat.
The planning-workshop included: presentation of the RPRH Acceleration Plan, presentation of the RPRH Plan on 5 KRAs; updates on Department of Health (DOH), Visayas Health, a non-government organization whose priority is family planning; and presentation of CIT Multi-Sectoral Plan in support of RPRH UNRS (Unmet Need Reduction Strategy) Implementation for 2018.*
