Church in Old Sagay robbed
A Catholic church in Barangay Old Sagay was robbed of P100, 000 by a minor around 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The priest, whose name was not divulged, discovered the robbery upon seeing his room open. He found the cashbox already missing with the amount inside.
Initial investigation by Sagay City PNP disclosed that two minors entered the convent unnoticed and left the area in haste with the box.
Police did not divulge the name of the minors for possible apprehension as hot pursuit operation is being conducted by operatives.
It was learned too that one of the suspects is a habitual offender in the town of Sagay, robbing houses as far as Rizal, a hinterland barangay of the city.*
