SM scholarship still open

The long-running college scholarship program of SM Foundation has extended its application period for school year 2018-2019 until January 31, 2018.

The scholarship program has helped provide quality education to bright but underprivileged high school students in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao for more than 20 years now. SM Foundation has also expanded its coverage areas, especially in areas where new SM Supermalls have been established. Students from these areas may try their luck at this grant from SM Foundation: Luzon: NCR, Albay, Batangas, Benguet Bulacan, Cagayan, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Isabela, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, Palawan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Quezon, Rizal, Tarlac, Zambales; Wisayas: Capiz, Cebu, Iloilo, Leyte, Negros Occidental; Mindanao: Agusan del Norte, Davao del Sur, Misamis Oriental, South Cotobato, Zamboanga del Sur

The SM College Scholarship Program is open to fourth year or Grade 12 students from public high schools and private high schools with DepEd vouchers from the areas covered.

Courses supported by SM are BS in Computer Science; BS in Information Technology; BS in Information Management; BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering; BS in Computer Engineering; BS in Civil Engineering; BS in Electrical Engineering; BS in Mechanical Engineering; BS in Elementary Education; BS in Secondary Education major in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English; BS in Accountancy; BS in Accounting Information Systems; BS in Internal Auditing; and, BS in Management Accounting.

SM has partnered with over 90 colleges and universities nationwide. In Negros Occidental, a student successfully accepted into scholarship program has the option to pursue his or her desired course at either Colegio San Agustin, Technological University of the Philippines – Visayas, University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, and University of St. La Salle.
