Tiger-Singcang Stops Heineken-Villamonte in Fil-Sino Caging

Tiger-Singcang Destroyer stopped Heineken-Villamonte Blitz, 95-87 to kick off a triple bill for the Class A division of the Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Cup played on Sunday at Po Hang Gym Bacolod Tay Tung High School.

Meanwhile Colt 45-FyrFyter/Dobinsons defeated Cobra Citrus-Super Twins, 86-73 and Asahi-Japs Sportswear dominated Cobra Berry-Mexicali, 99-82.

Alvin Jamora sizzled with 33 points to lead Singcang with the opening victory; Arjie Gicana added 18; Lowie Badilles, 11, while Rocky Acuyong and JR Solano scored 9 points each and Jerome Distrito had 5.

Donald Quilantang, Jornel Laborte and Louie Compao delivered 15 points apiece for Villamonte Blitz; Botsoy Solinap made 12; Coleen Testa shot 9; Job Nombreda scored 6 and Bonbon Cadagat with 4.

Singcang took a 50-43 at half.

In the 3rd canto Laborte led a balance offense to cut the deficit to 67-64.

But the trio of Gicana, Jamora and Ermeo combined for 21 points to seal the opening day victory for the Destroyer.

In the 2nd game Rolly Jaca paced FyrFyter/Dobinsons with 24 points; Sonny Abaring drilled 18; Winnie Alvarez shot 10; Richard Dario and Jed Soriano hit 7 points each; while Jehu Ayagan and Ruel Balgos with 6 points apiece.

Cobra Citrus-Super Twins was led by Musni with 14; De La Peña and Joemarie Bayhon sunk 12 points; Magbanua shot 10and Barcellote had 9.

In the nightcap Japs Sportswear drubbed Mexicali in the 1st 3 quarters highlighted by 44 points in the 2nd quarter.

Elvin Diaz finished with 22 points; Glen Dormido added 16; Reno Villaflorida 10; while Warlito Alintano , Jesmar Iwarata and Justine Baldonado with 7 points each and Debide 6.

Ryan Agena, Jefter Gigje and Joemel Garrido gallant stand for Mexicali with 13 points each; Rofel Cabalo and Boyet Ronzales scored 10 points apiece.
