Bacolaodiat Singing Competition Now Open for Applicants
Bacolaodiat Festival organizers are inviting all interested singers from Chinese and non-Chinese schools to join the Bacolaodiat Singing Master “A Chinese Language Singing Contest” set February 18, Sunday, at 2 p.m.
Singers from Chinese schools must be enrolled students from Grade 1 to 6 and are allowed to send two participants each Geade. They are to submit a copy of the minus-one, together with the lyrics in both Chinese Characters and Pinyin, to the Bacolaodiat Office on or before February 10 for compilation.
Applicants from non-Chinese schools is open to students from Grade 7 to 10 who are not currently enrolled in any Chinese school, and who were not educated in Chinese schools for more than 2 years.
They are to sing acapella of a Chinese song of their choice which must be one with a degree of difficulty for the singers.
Screening will be on February 10, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Bacolaodiat office, 2ndfloor Amity Building (steel door beside NL Watershoppe), Hilado Street, Bacolod City.
Qualified participants are required to submit a photocopy of their school I.D. and accomplished contest registration forms provided by the Bacolaodiat Office.
