Army conducts qualifying exams for applicants

The qualifying examinations for recruitment of interested applicants in the army will by conducted in Iloilo City, January 30 and 31, 2018.

According to Capt. Eduardo Precioso, head, 3rd Infantry Division Public Affairs Office (DPAO), the Army Recruitment Mobile Team of the Army Recruitment Office Visayas will conduct Pre-Entry Examinations (AFPSAT and Army Qualifying Exam/Special Written Exam (AQE/SWE) to qualified applicants for Officer Preparatory Course (OPC), Officer Candidate Course (OCC) and Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) at West Visayas State University (WVSU) Main Campuz, Lapaz, Iloilo City and February 1, 2018 (AQE/SWE).

The required qualifications are: For Officer Candidate Course (OCC), one has to be a baccalaureate degree, 21 to 29 years of age upon admission (no age waiver); single and never been married, Filipino citizen, height of not less than 5 feet (152.4 cm) both male and female but not more than 6 feet and 4 inches (193.04cm), physically and mentally fit and enlisted personnel can apply even without completing one (1) term.

For Officer Preparatory Course (OPC), Civilian: 21 to 23 years old; Enlisted 21-31 years old; Must be a graduate of POTC with a reserve rank of 2LT, baccalaureate degree holder, Filipino, height of not less 5 feet (152.4cm) both male and female but not more than 6 feet, 4 inches (193.04cm), physically and mentally fit and Enlisted Personnel can apply even without completing one (1) term.

Also, the qualifications for Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) are: 18-26 years old on the start of the training, at least 72 units in college; If high school graduate, must possess a certified skill needed in the military service, Filipino, height of not less 5 feet (152.4cm) both male and female, physically and mentally fit, unmarried and without child, and no pending case in any court.

Interested applicants must bring the following requirements needed for registration during the examinations: Birth Certificate (NSO), Transcript of Records and diploma and diploma with Form 137-A (for High School Graduate), Valid ID (Government Issued, and One (1) 2x2 Picture.
