This is the theme of the 25th founding anniversary of the Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) or the Peasant Movement of the Philippines on Saturday, July 24 at Brgy. Balite, Hacienda Luisita, Tarlac City.
Its first Founding National Congress was attended by more than a hundred peasant leaders from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, and hundreds of supporters and advocates of peasant struggles from different sectors, organizations and institutions. The farmers and agricultural workers from all over the country became united, with its central aim to struggle for Genuine Agrarian Reform and to fight the feudal and semi-feudal exploitation in the countryside.
