Police Chief Supt. Regional Director Samuel Pagdilao, Jr., Regional Director of Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 prefers new faces under his leadership. The reason why he has reshuffled some of the officers at the regional office. He was in Bacolod yesterday as part of his provincial sorties, being the new regional director of PRO6 after his predecessor RD Isagani Cuevas retired from active service.

The controversy related to quarrying operations in Brgy. Alangilan pitting the village head and quarry operators against environmentalists and farmers, the local parish church and even the Bacolod Diocese, are rapidly polarizing with another group of farm workers lambasting Brgy. Captain Degie Tanista and quarry owners-operators.

MassKara Dance Parade Songwriting Competition On
The Silver MassKara Festival Organization (SMFO), organizers of the MassKara Festival of Bacolod, is launching the Dance Parade Songwriting Competition for the 31st MassKara Festival.
The winning song will be used, primarily, for the streetdancing competitions.
Pagdilao at Camp A. Montelibano
PCSupt. Samuel Pagdilao Jr., regional director of the Philippine National Police (PNP), was at Camp Alfredo Montelibano, Sr. yesterday to check on the morale of personnel assigned in the province.
He culminated his two-day visit in Negros Occidental by gracing the blessing of newly renovated offices and other facilities inside the camp, according to PCInsp. Rico Santotome Jr., spokesman of the PNP in this province.

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) will conduct reconductoring of 3-phase primary line for line improvement along San Juan St., Bacolod City (from Burgos - San Juan Streets to B. S. Aquino Drive - San Juan St., Bacolod City) on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
On Sunday, July 25, 2010, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will conduct preventive maintenance of Amlan-Mabinay 138KV Transmission Line from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Six out of twelve teams will open their campaigns as they tangle with each other in the opening in the St. John’s Institute 3rd Alumni Basketball Friendship Cup at the Msgr. John Liu Activities Center today.
The teams were divide the teams into 2 brackets Bracket A is led by defending champion Batch 99/2k, 1st runner up Jollibee-90/91/92, inaugural champion Queen of Peace Parish, 96/97/98 , Batch 2009 and SJI Juniors Varsity team.
