NCRPO Declares: ALL SET FOR P-NOY’s SONA
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), particularly the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), is now fully prepared for today’s first ever State-of-the-Nation Address (SONA) of President Benigno Simeon "Noy-noy" Aquino III at the House of Representatives.
Upon the orders of NCRPO chief Director Roberto Rosales, the Metro Manila police command went on heightened alert status Saturday as part of security preparations for the historic SONA.

P-Noy Gov’t Completes P1.758T Budget Program for 2011: Abad
The government under President Benigno Aquino III has completed a P1.758 trillion budget program for next year that essentially adopted the budget plan crafted by former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Budget Secretary Florencio Abad said in a briefing on Friday they will submit the budget plan to Congress on August 5 or some two weeks from today.
‘No Guns for Mediamen, Only P3-M for Cops’
THE FORT, Taguig City — Congressman of the lone district of Bacolod City Anthony Golez, M.D., clarified that he is not providing millions of pesos to equip med-iamen with guns.
At the same time, Golez said he is instead allocating P3 million for the Bacolod City Police Office’s (BCPO) P6-M requirement for its unfinished building.

Negros Workers Gypped by Recruiter File Complaint

Five more OFWs from Bacolod City and Murcia town in the province, have filed legal actions against a Makati-based recruitment agency which recruited them from various jobs in Saudi Arabia but which was remissed in complying with the contract of employment they had signed earlier. Victimized by Global Job Search , Inc, were Michael Gepilga , a son of DYRL patrol Driver, Gabriel Gepilga , and Murcia Town residents Eppie Be-larma, Gene Mortel and husband and wife, Paul and Evangeline Esparagoza. The five OFWs were fortunate that they were able to leave that Middle Eastern Country and were provided assistance by the migrant worker’s organization, Migrante. They also flew home after their families provided them fare money. Michael Gepilga said in an interview with the NNF, Mortel arrived recently the last of the five OFWs who tried their luck as workers in Saudi Arabia.
