Victorias City Launches 1st Weight Loss Challenge For Government Employees
Victorias City launched its first ever weight loss challenge dubbed as “The Biggest Loser” at Don Alejandro Acuña Yap Quiña Arts and Cultural Center yesterday.

The initial weigh in, orientation and registration of the challengers from various departments and agencies in the City took place and the final weigh in for the first batch will be on Aug. 23.
The weight loss program, considered to be the first of its kind in the Province of Negros Occidental, is comprised of weekly nutrition classes and weight monitoring.
It will educate people on healthy ways of losing weight with the Philosophy of 80% nutrition and 20% exercise.
This is the initiative of the City Government of Victorias headed by Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca in partnership with Camp Reset Lifestyle Center based in Davao.
Mayor Palanca is glad to have this program since this is a great way to promote overall wellness through a healthy and active lifestyle.
The challenger with the greatest percentage weight loss will win P20,000 and will be declared as the “Biggest Loser”.
A special prize will also be given to the “Biggest Inch Loss” during the culmination.
The fitness coach of the program is Honey Grace Tayson from Brgy. XIII, Victorias City who went to Davao for work.
She is a single mom who gained weight after giving birth and underwent the program that focuses on proper diet and healthy exercise of Camp Reset.
From 136 lbs., she went down to 118 lbs. in two months and because of this she shared her knowledge as a way of giving back to the community.
From then on, Coach Honey and the Camp Reset Team facilitated various weight loss challenges, wellness talks and free wellness evaluations to offices and even to the public places and for the last two years, the program has helped so many people to gain back their health, confidence, and life.*
