Fish Vendor, Another Suspect Arrested in Drug Bust
A fish vendor in San Enrique town was collared in drug bust by local police operatives at 11:15 Monday morning, while another person was also arrested in another drug bust in a subdivision in Barangay Granada here Tuesday morning, June 14.
Police Senior Inspector Jerol Huerva, San Enrique OIC police chief identified the suspect as Joland Garcel, 27, “Alias Bro” of Barangay Sibucao, San Enrique town.
Police poseur buyer bought a sachet of shabu from him in exchange of P300 marked money. He was immediately caught.
He yielded four more elongated sachets of shabu from his possession. He is under the town’s police watch list.
Meanwhile, Police Station 5 of Bacolod City Police Office under Police Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana arrested Hadji Quejada Garcia, of legal age, of Barangay Granada in a buy bust operation around 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Confiscated from him were three small and one elongated sachet of shabu, P150 in different denominations believed proceeds of selling shabu and other drug paraphernalia. Also recovered by police was the P200 marked money.
In Hinobaan town, police operatives also arrested Jared Cardinal, 34, single, of Purok 3, Barangay Daraug in the town in a buy bust operation Monday.
Police Senior Inspector Robert Indiape, Hinobaan Police chief said that the suspect was caught in the act of selling shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Three small sachets of shabu were confiscated from him including the buy bust item in exchange of P500 marked money which was also recovered by police operatives; a cellular phone and P3, 400 cash believed proceeds of selling the prohibited drugs.
He admitted to Indiape that he get his source from Dumaguete or Bais cities in Negros Oriental.
The suspects are now detained facing charges in violation of RA 9165 in Court.*
