Police Probers One Step Closer to Uncovering Mayor Mondia Killers

Police probers from the PNP Regional Command VI, could be one step closer to solving the assassination of former Pulupandan town Mayor Luis Mondia Jr. and in the process ensuring justice for him and his family, with the filing of murder raps against six or seven suspects involved in the killing two weeks ago, just outside the Jaro Cathedral in Iloilo City.
TF Chua Reveals Cartographic Sketch of Kidnap Suspect
A cartographic sketch of one the suspects in the abduction of Fil-Chinese businessman in Bago City was released to the public by Task Force Chua, yesterday.
PCInsp. Jefferson Descal-lar, acting spokesman of the Negros Occidental Police provincial Office (NOPPO), revealed that one of the suspects was Tagalog-speaking and introduced himself as a member of the Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group (PASG) during an earlier confrontation with Jordan Chua days prior to the incident in Brgy. Dulao, Bago City.
7 SGs Among Gun Ban Violators

Seven security guards are reported among the 124 arrested violators of Comelec gun ban in Western Visayas since its implementation.
Reports from Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) disclosed that with the guards there are 101 civilians, four members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), seven government officials, two members of CAFGU, 1 member of CPP/NPA and two members of RPA/ABB were arrested for gun ban violation.

Rev. Fr. Ernesto O. Javier, in his homily during the funeral services for "Prima Tensiang," held at the Carmelite Monastery Chapel last Thursday, March 4, 2010 aptly described the life of "Prima Tensiang" as he quoted one of the sayings of Seneca, a Roman philosopher, which says, "It is not how long we have lived on this earth, but how good we have lived it." Indeed, "Prima Tensiang" lived a fruitful and full life which was dedicated not only for the welfare of her husband, "Primo Pabling" and her children, but also for the people she touched base with.
Lady Cops Reach Out to Indigents in Silay City
Policewomen assigned with the Negros Occidental PNP shared their blessings to around 100 indigent families in Brgy. Mambulac in Silay City last week.
During last Friday’s general assembly meeting of Policewomen in Negros Occidental held at the covered court of Sitio Basurahan of the said barangay, around 100 policewomen belonging to NOPPO visited one of Silay City’s depressed areas in line with their yearly gift-giving activities.
