BACIWA, DPWH, Legacy Const. Apologize for Inconvenience

Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia was assured by Bacolod City Water District (BACIWA) General Manager Atty. Juliana Carbon that the pipelaying project along Burgos-Granada Road will be completed on or before April 15, 2009.

Carbon gave this assurance during a conference at the New Government Center, March 18, with representatives from the City
Engineer’s Office and the Office of the Building Official in attendance.

BACIWA, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Legacy Construction apologized to commuters during the conference for the inconvenience brought about by the diggings along said road. Carbon said the project is geared towards providing Bacolod water consumers better service and that it is nearing completion.

Leonardia, on the other hand, said that the flow of traffic in the area will greatly improve as soon as the project is done.*(PIO)
