3 Drug Suspects Nabbed in San Carlos City

About 20.31 grams of suspected shabu was confiscated by police operatives from three suspects in a buy bust around 5:00 p.m. Monday at Purok Mahogany, Barangay 1, San Carlos City.

Operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Negros Island Region (NIR) and San Carlos City PNP conducted the buy bust against the three suspects who are in the drug watch list of the city police.

They are identified as Jonathan Gonzales Ibañez, 44, and his brother, Crispin, Jr., 32, and tricycle driver Noel Escorial Hernandez, 42, residents of the place.

The suspects yielded five elongated sachets of suspected shabu including the buy bust item in exchange of P500 marked money; four big sachets of suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia.

The confiscated items has a market value of P203, 100.

The suspects are now detained at the custodial facility of San Carlos City PNP jail and charged with violation of RA 9165.

Meanwhile, one was arrested in a buy bust operation by EB Magalona PNP at Hacienda Katumbal in Barangay San Jose also of the town on Monday.

The suspect was identified as Sandy Abanio Alejandrino, 43, “Alias Daxy” of Carlos Magalona Street, Barangay 2, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.

Confiscated from him were six sachets of suspected shabu including the buy bust item in exchange of P500 marked money. The confiscated shabu is worth about P3, 000.

He is now detained at the custodial facility of EB Magalona PNP and charged with violation of RA 9165.*
