NOPPO Joins Brigada Eskwela 2009 Program of Dep-Ed
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office headed by Police Senior
Superintendent Manuel Felix initiated the Brigada Eskwela 2009 Program held at
Tayabas Elementary School in Talisay City yesterday morning.
PSSUpt Felix together with the newly-installed Police Community Relations Branch
chief Police Chief Inspector Jefferson Descallar initiated the program to
support the Department of Education in their task to prepare the classrooms and
premises of the school in the opening of class this June.
To ensure that the students will experience comfort during the opening of class,
personnel of NOPPO and the Talisay City Police re-painted the school buildings,
chairs and tables, and cleaned the rooms and surroundings of the school.
Also present during the said activity were Board Member Frederick ManMan Ko, Mr.
Jerome Bagtas, executive assistant of the city mayor, Miss Rosemary Ledesma,
Tayabas Elementary School principal, the local police headed by Police
Superintendent Thomas Joseph Martir, parents, teachers and other local
government officials of Talisay City.
Mr. Bagtas commended NOPPO for its noble activity and likewise extended his
gratitude to the partakers.
PSSUpt Felix also discussed the peace and order concerns, and NOPPO projects and
programs with the different stakeholders of Talisay City.
On the other hand, the PCR Branch of NOPPO conducted its first family conference
last Wednesday spearheaded by their new chief PCI Descallar.
PCI Descallar tackled on the new system of reporting and the new target goals of
PCR. He also stressed on the work attitude of every PCR personnel and further
emphasized that each policeman is a PCR man.
The said conference was attended by all city and municipal police stations’
