Golden Year Celebration Opens with a Big Bang!
Yesterday’s opening day of the 50th (Golden) Year celebration of the Negros Daily Bulletin with a 50-vehicle motorcade around the major streets of Bacolod City turned out to be a big bang of sorts as over 50 vehicles sauntered into the capital city’s busy streets led by a five-man traffic police escort leading the way, keeping the motorcade as orderly as possible, without delaying the normal conduct of transport and flow of pedestrians within the usually busy and chaotic

The Bacolod City government represented by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, through the City Legal Officer, Atty. Joselito Bayatan, will file a motion for reconsideration in relation to the 20-day Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by Judge Pepito Gellada of RTC Branch 53 in Bacolod.

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director yesterday led the conduct of follow-up probe in the killing of a British national in Sipalay City who was shot several times in front of his wife and helper at about 7PM, Monday while on their way home.

Bacolod was chosen as pilot city out of the 121 others in the country for the

There is a huge drop- out of students from high school to college.
In other words, a lot of high school graduates are not able to proceed to college to further their studies in tertiary education due to poverty and other major obstacles.

Dengue Still Raging
DENGUE UP 416%, 24 DEAD

The number of dengue fever cases in Negros Occidental for the period January 1 to August 21 has ballooned from 792 cases last year to 4,087 cases this year, or an increase of 416 percent, reports from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) released yesterday showed.
