4 Killed, 2 Injured in Family Feud

Four persons were killed and two others were injured when two families clashed at Quezon Street in Barangay 1 Poblacion, in Barangay 4 in Moises Padilla town, which started Tuesday night and ended yesterday morning.

Police Chief Inspector Allan Reloj, Moises Padilla PNP chief, identified the victims as Kerwin Labiga Royo, 22; Kagawad Ernesto “Estoy” Royo, 56, of Barangay 1, uncle of Kerwin; James Labiga, 28, “Alias Saycan” of Barangay 1 and 5-year-old Michael John Mirano of Barangay 4.

Moises Padilla ‘Boycotts’ Panaad

Moises Padilla town will boycott this year’s edition of the Panaad Festival in Bacolod City set to kick-off tomorrow, April 22.

Ma. Lina Sanogal, Festival Director yesterday said that the municipal government has not yet informed the provincial government the reason why they won’t join the celebration.

“We did not receive any letter from them but the town’s representatives informed us that they will not open their pavillion nor participate in any competition.

M. Padilla Police Nabs Rape Suspect

A rape suspect who hid from the arms of the law for nine years was arrested by combined police operatives in his temporary residence at Barangay Tinadtaran, Buenavista town, Guimaras province around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Arrested was Gamaciel Sinahon Gimpayan, 39, “Alias Ale,” married, native of Sitio Manaol, Barangay Quintin Remo, Moises Padilla town at his temporary residence.

Skeletal Remains of 5-Yr.-Old Girl Found

Skeletal remains of a 5 year old girl reported missing August 13 was found inside a sugarcane field September 14 , at Sitio Kuyaoyao in Barangay Inolingan in Moises Padilla.

The skeletal remains were positively identified her parents through her clothes and shorts as that of Princess Padios, according to Senior Inspector Allan Reloj, Moises Padilla PNP chief.

The remains were found by a sugarcane cutter who informed the local barangay officials. Two big stones were found beside the girl’s remains, believing she was struck and her teeth were detached.
