Two bladed weapons were confiscated by elements of Silay City Police Station, Friday evening during the intensified conduct of operation bakal in the City.

A mini-bus owned by Don Bosco Technical School fell off a 15-meter ravine along the national highway at Kilometer 41, Brgy. Igmaya-an, Don Salvador Benedicto, at about 11:15AM, Saturday while on their way to Mambukal Mountain Resort, Murcia from Cebu City.

Three guns were confiscated by police authorities in Murcia and Candoni, Thursday through intensified drives against loose firearms.
PO2 Florante Dela Cruz, of Murcia Police seized a homemade .357 caliber revolver with no serial number and loaded with three live ammu-nitions from the possession of Erman Tallo, 38, of Brgy. Buenavista; while a .22 caliber revolver without serial number and loaded with ammunitions was recovered from Ronald Aquino.

A resident of Don Salvador Benedicto was gunned down, recently by unidentified persons at Brgy. Bunga Proper of the said town.
Police report said Danilo Ruiz, 52, of Purok Kaimito, Brgy. Bunga succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound on the back from an unknown caliber of firearm.

A tricycle driver was killed in a road accident, Wednesday morning along the national highway of Sitio Bagangbang, Brgy. Tiling in Cauayan town.
Police report said, Rycel Arro, 28, of Sitio Tabuk Suba, Brgy. Poblacion was pronounced dead on arrival at Cauayan District Hospital for injuries on different parts of his body when his vehicle was accidentally hit by a passenger jeepney, driven by Rudy Galon, 37, of Purok Abokado, Brgy. Canturay, Sipalay City.
Local News: Robbers Steal Church’s Audio System
Unidentified thieves allegedly stole two of Ilog Catholic Church’s speakers discovered yesterday afternoon after a novena mass in Ilog, Negros Occ.
Police report disclosed that Romeo Laforteza, 55, of Brgy. 1, Ilog and the ones in charge of the church’s ongoing construction lodged a complaint before authorities that the two large audio speakers of the church were gone and believed to have been stolen by unidentified persons.

Two suspects facing homicide charges were arrested by police authorities in the cities of Kabankalan and Bago, Tuesday morning.
SPO1 William Sablaon, of Kabankalan City Police Station nabbed Edwin Gargar, 28, a farmer of Sitio Nabilog, Brgy. Tagoc for the crime of homicide in criminal case number 2012-5642.
