2 Wounded in stabbing, shooting

A man who tried to pacify his friend having altercation with another man was stabbed, along with another person from the other group in Estado, Barangay 10, Victorias City at 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Police Superintendent Herman Garbosa, Victorias City police chief identified the victims as Ricarte Sonita Sabala, 34, married, of Hacienda Maria, Barangay 10, Victorias. He sustained stab wounds on his upper left rib and back.

The other victim was identified as Albert Alvarez Morales, 20, single, of Barangay San Isidro, EB Magalona town. He also sustained gunshot wounds on his back.

Sabala pacified his friend Jay Briones Flores, 24, single, of Hacienda Bungyod, Barangay 8, also of the city who had an altercation with suspect Raymund Alvarez Demicino, 22, single, of Barangay San Isidro, EB Magalona town.

Demicino stabbed him and fled from the crime scene along with Albert Morales.

The two wounded were immediately brought to the hospital for medical treatment. The group chased them and one of Sabala’s companion shot and hit Albert using unidentified caliber of firearm.

Demicino, on the other hand, fled towards the sugarcane plantation nearby to escape.
