SSS all set for prompt posting of contribution payments

The Social Security System (SSS) in Negros Occidental gears up for the implementation of real-time posting of contribution payments in January 2018 as part of its continued process improvements.

SSS-Bacolod Senior Communications Analyst Atty. Janice Diaz noted that this is vital as contribution payments should be recorded in a prompt and correct manner. Further, this eases transaction of benefit claims and loan proceeds among members and their beneficiaries.

Atty. Diaz added that SSS benefits and loans are based on the contribution of members and their employers.

One of the requirements for this process enhancement is the registration of all employers and individual members such as self-employed, voluntary, and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) members in .MySSS facility which is accessible at the SSS website.

The SSS produces the initial electronic Contribution Collection List (e-CL) for all regular and household employers and Statement of Account (SOA) for individual members.

Upon validation and confirmation of the e-CL or SOA, the electronic Collection System (e-CS) generates a Payment Reference Number (PRN) that will be used by the employer or member in paying SSS contributions at any accredited payment centers.

The SSS obliges all bank and non-bank collection partners to shift to the e-CS using PRN as basis for payment acceptance.

Atty. Diaz likewise advised SSS members to visit its branches and update their respective data to avoid hassle.
