100 Patients Set for Free Medical Operations
At least 100 patients with medical problems are up for free surgical operations on October 19-28, this year at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH).
This is part of the Universal Health Care-High Impact Five plan of the Department of Health (DOH) in collaboration with the CLMMRH.
Chief of Medical Professional Staff of the CLMMRH Dr. Marlon Tabligan said these patients will come from the four areas identified by the DOH as High Risk for Poverty.
These areas include–Binalbagan, La Carlota, San Carlos and Hinoba-an where at the moment DOH services are directed to these specific areas.
According to Tabligan, CLMMRH will offer for free the hospital’s medical skills and doctors services, while all the other expenses are also expected to be free care of the PhilHealth Insurance Corporation and the medical social services which will reimburse the hospital.
The local government units of the four identified areas will identify the beneficiaries which will be coordinated by the DOH Central Office and relayed by the DOH Regional Office.
As of this time, CLRMMH is just awaiting for the names of the 100 patients scheduled for operation this October.* (JCM/EAD-PIA6 Negros Occidental)
