Gov. Zayco Inducts SHEGOBANO Officers

Gov. Isidro P. Zayco inducted into office the elected officers of the newly formed Sheep and Goat Breeders Association of Negros Occidental (SHEGOBANO), yesterday at the Pavilion Hotel in Bacolod City.

Inducted into office were Eugene Arnold Sison of Bacolod City as president; Bernard Javelosa of Himamaylan City, vice president; Karen Flores of Victorias City, secretary; and Brenda Ta-ala and Ephraim Manzano of Murcia as treasurer and PIO, respectively.

Board Member Enrique Miguel Lacson of the 5th District is the group’s adviser.

The members underwent project orientation, site evaluations and seminar on goat management and diseases before they qualified as members of the association.

At present, there are a total of 64 goat raisers in the 28 local government units of the province who are recipients of the Provincial Goat Genetic Improvement Project that is in line with the HEARTS PLUS Program of Gov. Zayco.
