Grass Owl Turned Over to DENR-CENRO Bago City Rescue Center

A Grass Owl (Tyto Longimembris) was turned over to DENR-CENRO Bago City on October 26, by Reizel Jalique, resident of Hda. Kulisap I, Brgy. Hawaiian, Silay City.

According to Jalique, at about 8 oçlock in the evening of October 25, the owl fell from a tree and she immediately reported it the following day to the Silay City Environment and Natural Resources Office.

They then went to the DENR CENRO Bago City–Wildlife Rescue Center at Bantayan Park in Brgy. Poblacion, Bago to officially turn over the rescued wildlife for rehabilitation.

DENR keeps on reminding the public that possessing/collecting of any wildlife is in violation of Republic Act 9147 or the Wildlife Act.*(PR)
