Gov. Marañon Turns Over Barangay Insurance Claims

Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Jr. turned over checks worth a total of P360,000 to the beneficiaries of the Barangay Insurance Program for Barangay Tanods, Officials, and Employees, at the Provincial Capitol, Thursday.

The checks were personally received by the family-beneficiaries of the insured individuals coming from the different cities and municipalities of Negros Occidental; they were also accompanied by their authorized barangay officials.

The insured tanods and kagawads were Leoncio Adlawan and Alfredo De La Torre of San Carlos City, Carlos Baluran of DS Benedicto, Renato Bulfa of Calatrava, Aaron Despabiladeras, Sr. of Sagay City, Virgilio Gentelizo of Isabela, Jose Bacaoco of Kabankalan City, and Johnny Avanceña, Sr. of Ilog.

The Barangay Insurance Program is under the Special Programs and Concerns Division of the Provincial Administrator’s Office.*
