AACI Derails Sweet Crystals in Fil-Sino

AACI Trading defeated Sweet Crystals Sugar, 88-84 last Wednesday in the 2nd Conference of the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. Inter-color basketball tournament at Po Hang Gym of Bacolod Tay Tung High School.

Because of the loss, Sweet Crystals Sugar dropped to 7-2 win-loss card, while improving AACI Trading to 6-2 in the elimination.

AACI Trading held a 25-22 advantage behind Carlo Chu 12 points.

But Sweet Crystals Sugar’s trio of Ceasar Tan, Alexis Somo and Jasper Geolingo combined for 25 points to move ahead in the half, 49-38.

Carlo Chu paced AACI Trading with 33 points; Jun Luciano added 16; Jan Jan Young 11; Brent Tajonera drilled 10; Eugene Tsai scored 7 and Matthew Yap shot 6 points.

Ceasar Tan led Sweet Crystals Sugar with 15 points; Matt Deles produced 14; Cris Pascua hit 12; Alvan Rodriguez delivered 9; Joemarie Regalado made 6 points.

Meanwhile, JSY Countertrade rallied past an undermanned Huminova Tigers, 70-67 last Tuesday, while Organic Solution defeated Silver Dragon Transport, 85-74.

JSY Countertrade trailing Huminova Tigers 55-43 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

But fatigue finally caught up with Huminova Tigers as they can only score 12 pts. in the payoff quarter against the 27 pts. of JSY Countertrade led by Alvin Dionela who scored 12 pts. with teammates Jeremy Coo and Buddy Eufre conspiring for 9 pts.

Alvin Dionela led JSY Countertrade with 15 points; Jeremy Coo added 13; Rinen Miagao and Buddy Eufre made 12 points apiece.

Onjo Yap finished with 20 points for the Tigers; Jeff Maningo added 16; Mark Yee hit 15; Devin Villacruz with 8 and Kevin Camato had 7 points. In the nightcap Organic Solution defeated Silver Dragon Transport, 85-74.

Organic Solutions erected a 29-12 opening quarter lead and never look back to register the win.

Dante Ma and Lito Dumdum scored 24 points for Organic Solutions and Julius Teruel added 19 points while Richard Co scored 19 points for Silver Dragon Transport.* (CMGarde)
