Negros solon agrees branding NPAs terrorists, bandits
Negrense Representative Gary Alejano of Magdalo Partylist agrees that it is just proper to brand the NPAs as terrorists or bandits because of their actions having involved the innocent civilians and destroy government properties, engage in hold-ups, forced taxation to the community, and other terroristic activities.
In a radio interview, Cong. Alejano also said, “I do not believe in their fight because it is not seen in their actions.”
However, Alejano said, the NPAs will not stop their activities even though they will be tagged terrorists, also their revolutionary tax collection.
Further, the NPA insist they have legitimate grievances, will strengthen their basis and demand from the government to release political prisoners.
If the AFP will talk with the NPA, it should be transparent that both parties will be heard. How could the government stop communism because there are communists appointed in key positions in the government, the reason they are not all out against Pres. Duterte.
For Brig.Gen. Jon Aying, commander, 3rd Infantry Division, Philippine Army, stationed at Camp Peralta, Jamindan, Capiz, the simplest term they could brand the NPA is terrorist as they are abducting civilians and impose revolutionary tax collections. He also admitted that the NPAs continue to recruit members even children at young age.*
