Court denies bail for two accused of rape and RA 9165

The court denied bail for two persons accused for rape and in violation of RA 9165 in San Carlos and Silay cities, respectively.

In San Carlos, police arrested a farmer identified as Rey Heronda Labed, 30, married, of Sitio Bulad, Barangay Quezon, in the city for the crime of rape.

Judge Kathrine Go of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 59 in San Carlos issued the arrest warrant dated September 7, 2017 against the suspect.

The suspect was arrested on November 20, 2017 by elements of the San Carlos Police Office under Superintendent D’Artagnan Katalbas, Jr., at his residence.

In Silay, police operatives arrested Jake Paloma Sabobo, 28, “Alias Jake Miravalles/Jikoy Sabobo,” of Antonio Luna Street, Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay for reckless imprudence resulting to double homicide in relation to RA 8369.

The Court recommended P30, 000 bail bond for each case.

He was also served with another arrest warrant for violation of Section 5, Article II of RA 9165 with the court recommending no bail bond for his temporary liberty.

Judge Dyna Doll Tiongson Trocio of the Regional Trial Court, Branch-40 i n Silay issued his arrest warrants, dated July 21, 2017, for reckless imprudence and October 16, 2017 for violation of Republic Act 9165.

He is now detained at the Silay PNP jail.*
