50 Fiberglass Motorized Bangkas to Small Fishermen

Fifty 20-footer fiberglass motorized boats were turned over to small fishermen in Negros Occidental who are beneficiaries of the Bangka Project of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) of the Department of Agriculture (DA).

The fishermen-beneficiaries came mostly from Bacolod City, Hinigaran and EB Magalona.

The project was realized through the facilitation efforts of Congressman Joseph Stephen “Caraps” Paduano with DA in his campaign to provide livelihood support to marginalized sectors.

Turn-over ceremony was held Sept. 28 during the Biyaheng Bukid: Tapatan, “Hinun-anon upod sa kay “Hinun-anon upod sa kay Secretary Emmanuel Pinol sa mga mangunguma kag mangingisda” at the Coliseum of Bago City.
