Silverado, Super Batchoy Take Commanding Lead in Trios Bowling Tourney

ASSFBI Silverado of Cecil Silverio and Team Super Batchoy-managed Leah Uy is leading in their respective categories of the ongoing 1st Golden Fuel Mixed Trios Bowling Tournament 2015 at the Negros Super Lanes, Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Silverado has been holding the #1 spot in the rated category for most of the elimination series as it garnered a total of 7,861 pin falls after 8 rounds of ball rolling action. Silverio is backstopped by some of the best bowlers in Bacolod such as Cesar Sumaylo, Johann Genolos, Orly Guiljon, and Norman Pineda.

Looking to secure the final two slots for the step-ladder finals are Team Davies (7,673 pfs) managed by Edgar Jerez and Rapha Bowlers (7,647 pfs) of Edgar de Leon but not far behind to pull off fast ones are the young guns of BCY (7,643 pfs) and the forever young KMH (7,575 pfs).

Rounding up the rated category standing: Abang Lingkod Retro - 7,509; ESD Solid Strikers ASSFBI - 7,490; NPBC Tough Trucks - 7,402; PLS Electronz ASSFBI - 7,394; RJ Stars - 7,370; and BacPhil - 7,301.

On the non-rated group, Super Batchoy recovered from a slow start and has been leading the pack of triples with its aggregate points of 7,644. Holding the helm for the team is Mark Andren with ace bowler Michael Corral, Jake Castillano, and Oca Clemen.

The ladies teams of Tiger Eye (7,436) and ASSFBI Pin Pals (7,411) will most likely secure the last two slots going to the finals with a 10-point handicap on their side every game.

Completing the non-rated teams: WEPCO - 7,336; Bago City - 7,293; 69ers - 7,185; Retirado-EcoSaver - 7,095; RBY - 6,899; Harvard Ecer - 6,811; and Lions - 5,588.

Highest scores in an individual game are Mitz Villa of BCY & Noralyn Lamis of Tiger Eye with 94 each for pinfall, and Joe Ermeo of Bago (170 & 415) & Cecil Biendo of Tiger Eye (192 & 363) for single & triple; while Silverado recorded the team single & triple with 400 & 1,047.

Meanwhile, players who qualified for the Master Bowler games in men’s division are Pineda, Sumaylo, Corral, Victor Fontanilla & Boy Romero of Davies, Cyril Mayordomo of BCY, Ermeo, Lyndon Reyes of Retro, De Leon, and Guiljon. In ladies side: Precy Pillo & Cheryl Ramos of Pin Pals, and Mae Memoracion, Carmon Romelas, & Noralyn Lamis of Tiger Eye.

The trios bowling event is in coordination with BTTHS Alumni Class 1996 and supported by Mr. Willy Au, according to tournament chairman Bobby Yap.

Step-ladder finals and consolation games are set on Tuesday, October 13; while master bowler games rolls off tonight at 6PM.*
