Councilors Dindo Ramos, and his son Councilor Keith Emmanuel Ramos, SK president of Bacolod, jointly authored a resolution requesting all colleges and universities in Bacolod City to excuse all Sangguniang Kabataan chairmen from attending the National Service Training Program (NSTP) during weekends, because they are also doing community services as barangay officials of their respective barangays.
The said resolution was approved by the Sanggu-niang Panlungsod during the midweek session.
Some provisions of City Ordinance 37 Series of 1987 regarding creation of Brgy. Paglaum in Bacolod City were amended/added through the Resolution authored by Coun. Caesar Distrito, duly approved by members of the sangguniang panlungsod during the mid-week session.
A series of public hearings conducted by Coun. Distrito, chair, committee on laws, ordinances and good government, was conducted in response to the request of petitioners from Paglaum Village.
Councilor Al Victor Espino lashed out anew at former Vice-Mayor and 2010 congressional bet Renecito Novero, saying he is running roughshod against four councilors, who have bandied together to protest his possible selection as vice-mayoralty bet of presumed mayoralty bet to the group, Jude Thaddeus Sayson in the coming 2013 local election.
"One will know the character of former Vice-Mayor Novero by observing how he puts words into the mouth of Councilor Dindo Ramos, saying the latter is not interested in throwing his hat into the vice-mayoralty ring. It’s not his desire to become a tandem for Mayor Evelio Leonardia, said Novero reportedly. That’s farthest from the truth," Espino said.

The report forwarded by whistleblower Romy Niere, who was with the splinter group of the Grupo Progreso-Nationalist Peoples’ Coalition (NPC) in the Pandanon Highland Resort in Murcia town, said Councilor Dindo Ramos who was planning to run as mayor of the splinter group, Al Victor Espino as vice-mayor and Homer Bais as Congressman of the lone district of Bacolod. The information said, the splinter group was planning to field a complete slate in the coming 2013 election.

A political split between the majority party which controls City Hall, immediately looms with the formation of another political faction composed of Councilors Dindo Ramos, Al Victor Espino and Homer Bais, all of whom are to graduate from the City Council next year, 2013.
The information was relayed to this reporter by whistleblower and stormy petrel Romy Niere who, at presstime was with the aforementioned councilors in the Pandanon Village Resort, owned by the Espino family.
RTC Branch 44 Presiding Judge Franklin Demonteverde, has dismissed the petition for certiorari with prayer for the issuance of TRO and writ of preliminary injunction filed by the late Atty. Nilo Alejandrino, then secretary to the Sangguniang Panlungsod, against Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, Councilors Homer Bais, Roberto Rojas, Dindo Ramos, Caesar Distrito and City Legal Officer Atty. Joselito Bayatan.
The recent birthday bash of former Councilor and Vice Mayor Alex Paglumotan was well- attended by his ever loyal party mates in the Grupo Progreso. However, it reportedly ended with a boxing bout with his party mate incumbent Councilor Dindo Ramos. Informants did not reveal as to the reason of their clash. The resolution of Councilor El Cid Familiaran, nominating Councilor Dindo Ramos for membership in the People’s Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) was approved by the council during Wednesday’s session.
