Negros Occidental Rep. Alfredo Benitez yesterday filed a resolution seeking an investigation into the continuous drop in the mill gate prices of sgar in the country.
Benitez, in House Resolution No. 1512 said, the latest data for crop year 2017-2018 “showed that mill gate prices continued to decline starting September 2017 dropping by 26 percent to P1,190 per 50- kilogram bag as of November 5 from P1,618 per 50-kg bag in the same period last year.”
“We have the hospital, why don’t we use it?”

Jalandoni Provincial Hospital New Annex Building Extension. He noticed there were no beds, no equipment, no patients and even no doctors and nurses where the on-going Nikki Cares Surgical Mission (Nov. 23 to 25, 2017) in Silay City is being held.

Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri on Friday promised sugar industry stakeholders to fight for the reduction of the P10-a-liter excise tax on sugar-sweetened drinks.
But, I am only one vote in the Senate, Zubiri said as he asked sugar industry leaders to lobby for support from the rest of the members of the Senate.
