Former Talisay Mayor Says ‘Fight Not Over’

The fight is not yet over, former Talisay City Mayor Eric Saratan yesterday said after the First Division of the Commission on Elections First dismissed the election protest filed by his wife Sheila against Talisay Mayor Neil Lizares, but elevated it to the Comelec en banc after one commissioner gave a dissenting commission.

Talisay City Wages War Again

Just before the year 2015 ended – Talisay City waged war against garbage and this time Mayor Doc Eric Saratan led the intensified campaign dubbed “Gyera sa Basura 2” basing from the success of the first activity in the City where the people are enjoined to do their share on the said endeavor. The activity gathered more than 7,000 people who marched with the City Public Plaza to the Talisay City Gym.

‘No Armed Goons in Talisay City’

TALISAY CITY- Talisay City Mayor Eric Saratan denied reports that there are armed goons and illegal firearms in the city.

This developed after the recent raid conducted by elements of the Regional Special Operations Group on the residence of one of the security detail of his wife, Shiela Saratan.

Talisay Bags Island of Good Governance Seal

The Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA) along with the Corporate Directors and the National Competitiveness Council awarded Talisay City with Islands of Good Governance (IGG) seal during the Public Governance Forum held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Manila recently.
