7 CARABAOS STRAFED DEAD

Even the animals are not sparesd from the cruelties of man. The seven carabaos used for plowing were killed while a farm worker was slightly injured during a strafing incident in Sitio Minauyahan, Brgy, Bug-ang in the town of Toboso, yesterday afternoon, according to Karapatan-Negros Secretary-General Fred Caña, in an interview.

Abductions of farm workers could possibly be a conscious effort by the government to cripple the workers’ movement, leaders of the militant National Federation of Sugar Workers (NFSW), said after receiving a report that two more farm workers, all members of the militant union were abducted by a group of RPA-ABB armed gang last May, this year and who have not surfaced yet.
