No. 1 Most Wanted Person in Murcia Collared by Cop

After nearly five years in hiding, a 55-year old resident of Murcia town was finally arrested by the local PNP yesterday morning.
Police Chief Inspector Simeon Gane, chief of Murcia PNP who also led the operation, identified the wanted person as Angelino Barros, a resident of New Site, Barangay Sta Rosa in the saaid town.

Gane added that Barros is Murcia’s No. 1 most wanted person. His arrest was effected by a warrant of arrest for grave threats and frustrated murder issued by Judge Roberto Chiongson of RTC Branch 50-Bacolod City dated September 2004.

In Kabankalan City, policemen led by Senior Police Officer 1 Ladislao Olac apprehended 18-year old Jerry Ben Parlan by virtue of an arrest warrant for the crime of murder issued by Judge Henry Arles of RTC Branch 61-Kabankalan City.

Parlan, a resident of Purok Paglaum, Barangay 2 in the city, was nabbed by the local PNP at Barangay Binicuil according to Police Superintendent Calixto Mabugat, chief of Kabankalan City PNP.

Arles recommended no bail for Parlan’s provisional liberty. Negros Occidental PNP provincial director Police Senior Superintendent Manuel Felix congratulated Gane and Mabugat as well as their men for the successful arrest of the two wanted persons in Murcia and in Kabankalan City, respectively.* (NOPPO PIO)
