Cadiz City promising badminton players showed potentials by emerging the winningest players in the just concluded 12th Albee Cup Badminton Tournament held at Pohang Badminton Center, in Bacolod City September 5-6, 2009.

Cadiz paddlers dominated the Boys 12-Under, Boys 16-Under, Men’s Doubles B and Ladies Doubles B. In the Boys 12 Under, Kerr and Kenneth Longno emerged champion. Coming next to them are the tandem of Earl Joseph and Rodolfo Carballo of Bacolod City as 1st runner-up and Rey Mark Defensor and Rodolfo Samson of Silay City.

Aljons Aloyan and Christian Pavia ruled the Boys 16-Under; Christian Pavia and Ruel Managase in the Men’s B and Dhessa Mae Arino and Dianne April Bibiano in the Ladies 16-Under, aside from placing either first runner-up or second runner-up in other categories.

Girls 12 under: Champion-Gia Eusebio & Pamela Tan of Bacolod City; Mitzi Joy Pantoja and Stephanie Ti-ad of Cadiz City as 1st runner-up; and Alaiza Orbiguso and Cathrina Marie Osden of Talisay City as 2nd runner-up.

Boys 16 under: Champion - Aloyan, Aljons & Pavia, Christian (Cadiz); 1st Runner Up-Crisostomo, Christian & Genoguin, Kier (Bacolod); and 2nd Runner Up- Du-ay, Cede Jan & Minuluan, Mike (Talisay).

Girls 16 Under: Champion- Servando, Nikki & Fernandez, Mary Joy (Bacolod/Cadiz); 1st Runner Up - Ballenas, Precious & Sabino, Maegan (Bacolod); and 2nd Runner Up - Arino, Dhessa Mae & Bibiano, Aprille Diane (Cadiz).

Mixed Doubles B: Champion - Granada, Allan & Baje, Hilary (Bacolod/Valladolid);1st Runner Up - Gelaro & Jayona; 2nd Runner Up - Guarte, Ruel & Mentor, Genelyn (Bacolod /Talisay).

Mixed Doubles C: Champion - Sison, Christian & Anuales, Aizyl (Bago); 1st Runner Up - Arsenal, Jess & Javellana, Gleffa (Silay); 2nd Runner Up - Divinagracia, Babit & Virgara, Dona (Bacolod).

Mixed Doubles D: Champion - Demigillo, Lyndon & Siason, Jennifer (Victorias/Silay); 1st Runner Up - Alon, Leo & Seva, Nona Mae (PNOC); 2nd Runner Up - Bagatsing, Shajid & Jamora, Bing (Sagay).

Men’s Doubles 45 Up: Champion - de la Torre, Joel & Araneta Jr., Benjamin (Manila/Bacolod); 1st Runner Up - Yan, Danny & Bautista, Dino (Manila); and 2nd Runner Up - Javellana, Gado & Tan, Ting-ting (Silay).
