Ceres Negros FC Bows Down in Defeat

Home crowd went to Panaad Park and Stadium to cheer on the home team that faced FC Istikol yesterday. The busmen started the early going attempting to barge in Istikol’s defense but failed to keep off the visitors’ attacks towards their goal.

Tied at 1-1 at with FC Istikol and Ceres Negros FC and ended their campaign at game for the AFC Inter Zone Semis at home. The busmen came raging on the offense got the visiting team busy on defense. Ceres drew first blood scoring the first goal in the first half of play.

The same team beat Ceres FC during their last encounter 4-0 and yesterday’s game was supposed to be a big comeback for the busmen while playing at home. The busmen tried to recover and continued to play offense that gave Ceres a hard time.

Ceres needed 4 points to equalize and 5 to win but the game ended at 1-1 at the end of regulation.

Coach Risto Vidakovic told the press during the post match confab that they had chances during the game but was not able to translate the attempts into points. While Vidakovic says he is hats off to his players who gave it all for tonight’s game.

Ceres Negros FC thanked their fans for rooting them until the AFC Inter Zonal Semis and promised to come back strong in the forthcoming tournaments ahead of them.* (OSBayog)
