CENRO Cadiz Seizes 15 More Sacks of Charcoal
The Environmental Law Enforcement Team (ELET), Enforcement Section, of CENRO Cadiz City led by Forest Ranger Manuel Vallente, seized another 15 sacks of charcoal loaded on a tricycle, in Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City Wednesday night.
The apprehended charcoal and the Rusi tricycle were impounded at Sub-CENRO, San Carlos City, for pending of proper disposition.*
The team, also composed of Forest Rangers Edwin Monteroso, Antonio Villegas, Antonio Aparel, Jr. and Jonel Dionela, was able to apprehend a Rusi tricycle, bearing plate number FF24327, loaded with 15 sacks of charcoal estimated worth P3,000.
CENRO Cadiz reported that the cargo of charcoal had no pertinent legal transport documents from DENR, in violation of Section 77 of P.D 705 as amended by E.O. 277 & R.A. 7161.
An apprehension receipt was issued and the vehicle owned and driven by Luciano B. Lastimoso of Brgy. San Benito, Calatrava was put into the police blotter.
The impounded vehicle is now at DENR Sub Office in San Carlos for administrative proceedings.
Meanwhile, Chief, Enforcement Section Forester Dante E. Espinosa facilitated the immediate conduct of administrative adjudication proceedings giving due process to offended party, and it will be presided by OIC, CENR Officer Renato M. Sabinian at Sub-CENRO, San Carlos City.*
