Woman Nabbed in Entrapment for Victimizing Bank
A woman was nabbed by police operatives after an entrapment at the Rural Bank of Sagay, Incorporated located at the national highway of Sagay City Friday afternoon.
Police Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, Sagay PNP chief, identified the suspect as Amy Julito Gomez, 53, “alias Amy”, widow of Hacienda San Rafael in Barangay Mabini, Cadiz.
Leonardo A. Aguirre, Loan Inspector/Appraiser of Rural Bank of Sagay,and Rodrigo L. Aranez, security guard with police operatives arrested the suspect in an entrapment inside the bank.
Recovered from her possession were, cash used as marked money; Philhealth ID card with No. 11-025013855-5; BIR with TIN No. 914-280-715 and PNB ATM Debit Card with Account No. 5921089010915757; original Copy of Community Tax Certificate No. 16683010 issued at Sagay City dated September 5, 2017; scanned Barangay Certification from Barangay Poblacion 2, Sagay City; photocopy of Statement of Account from PNB dated August 31, 2017; Pension Check Voucher with claim reference No. 975198-07; and approved application form from Rural Bank all under the fictitious name of Mary Ann Octoso Maja.
The suspect reportedly made similar transactions from Rural Bank of Sagay, Inc. last August 18, 2017 amounting to P40,000 cash money from her pension loan using the name of Rosalina Torre Lusabia, 49, widow of Purok Paghidaet in Barangay Bato, Sagay.
All identification cards and personal credentials of the suspect when verified by Leonardo Aguirre, loan inspector-appraiser of the bank were all fake and invalid.
She is detained at Sagay City PNP for two counts of estafa.* (CMG)
