During a recent meeting, he said about 40 private and government institutions have already indicated their willingness to join the national activity that include Government Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) like Clark Development Corp., Philippine Veterans Affairs Office and PhilHealth.

He expressed dismay on the apathy of some institutions that have not indicated to join the expo when they should be actively taking part in the event.

“It is important that information coming from different government agencies reaches the people and this activity is one way of making the public appreciate the government,” he stressed.

He called on government agencies in the province to come out and join as there are times when the people only know of the existence of a government body only after a scandal breaks out in the media.

LGUs of Bacolod City, San Carlos City, and Carles town from Panay Island have already expressed intention to join as he called on other LGUs to participate.

The expo carries the theme “Pamahalaan at Mamamayan: Magtulungan Para sa Pagbabago ng Kaunlaran”.

Memorandum Circular No. 19 signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea encourages all government agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned and controlled corporations and local government units to extend support and participation in the Kabisig Philippine government expo and trade fair 2017.
