3 Hurt in Tricycle-Bus Collision
Three passengers including the driver were injured after his driven tricycle collided with a Ceres bus around 6:30 a.m. at National Road, Crossing Ambush, Barangay Manalad, Ilog town, Negros Occidental.
Inspector Nerito Lobrido, Ilog PNP OIC police chief identified the victims as Francisco Tabucon, 45, married, tricycle driver; Jay Estosa, 37, married, laborer and Alano Matunding, 38, married, laborer - all residents of Barangay Camugao, Kabankalan City.They sustained severe injuries; and damage to the tricycle.
The bus driver was identified as Joeann Amante Doronila, 40, married, of Barangay Ara-al, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
The tricycle was heading to Kabankalan City proper while the Ceres bus was on its way to Candoni town when they collided at the place.
Police report disclosed that the tricycle encroached the lane of the Ceres bus resulting to the collision.
The bus incurred damage on its windshield and bumper.
The three were rushed to Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City while the driver surrendered to police.*
