Laborer Survives Anew Slay Try by Neighbor
A laborer survived for the second time attempt in his life by his neighbour around 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Sitio Indangawan, Barangay Manlucahoc, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
Inspector Romeo Vargas, OIC police chief identified the victim as William Dela Rosa Bucar, 49, married, resident of the place.
Bucar sustained a gunshot wound on his right contusion collar that exited on his back. He was brought by members of Sipalay City Rescue to Sipalay City Satellite Health Unit for his immediate medical treatment.
Vargas identified the suspect as Terry Cati-an, 40, married, jobless, also of the place. He escaped after the incident.
Initial police investigation revealed that the victim was standing in their open kitchen helping his wife prepare dinner when the suspect appeared armed with a hand gun. He shot the victim once.
Police said the suspect also stabbed the victim on his back six years ago but also survived.
Police is conducting manhunt against the suspect and his motive.*(CMG)
